Unilex Colours and Chemicals Limited IPO

Incepted in March 2001, Unilex Colours and Chemicals Limited is a pigment manufacturer, chemical trader, and food colours manufacturer.

The company sells its products under the registered brand name Unilex. They cater to the domestic as well as international markets. They provide pigment solutions for many industries.

The company's manufacturing unit in Palghar, Maharashtra is of 1275 sq. meters with different machinery installed in the plant, including Ball Mill, Root Blower, Silo, Reaction Steel Vessel, Brick Lined Vessel, Rubber Lined Vessel, Drying Vessel, Spin Flash Dryer, Ribbon Blender, Air Classifier Mill, Air Blender, and Filter Press.

The company has an ISO 9001:2015 certification of its manufacturing facility for quality management in the production of pigments, food dyes, and drug intermediates.

For fiscal 2024, 2023, and 2022, the revenue from manufacturing stood at 6,652.17 lakhs, 7,455.21 lakhs, and 8,487.51 lakhs, respectively, making up 46.24%, 53.48%, and 58.42% of the total revenue, respectively.

The following pigments are part of its product portfolio: Pigment Green -7, Pigment Middle Chrome, Pigment Violet 23 & 27, and Ultramarine Blue, which it sources from other third-party manufacturers against the requirements it gets from its clients.

The group of products exports from the companies is diverse in many countries; this includes, Vietnam, Brazil, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, Turkey, Netherlands, Poland, China, Spain, Malaysia, Thailand, UAE Uzbekistan, etc.Some of its key products comprise multi-layer paper bags, corrugated boxes, HDPE and HDPE coated bags, multi-layer liners and HM covers, wooden pallets, and jumbo bags.

Up to 31 March 2024, the group offers a range of products in excess of 100 numbers.As of March 31, 2024, the company has 25 contract laborers and 54 employees on the payroll at the manufacturing unit.
